Licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist
Allison Camire is a licensed acupuncturist and owner of North Shore Acupuncture and Natural Medicine in Beverly, MA. Allison is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). She obtained a duel Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, with an additional concentration in Japanese Style Acupuncture. Allison is a nationally and board certified acupuncturist and herbalist through the National Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She licensed by the Massachusetts board of medicine to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. In addition, Allison is a certified in Reiki healing, craniosacral therapy and has undergone extensive training in energy healing and restoration.
Allison is a visually impaired licensed acupuncturist and has extensive training in Japanese style acupuncture. This training has allowed her perfect her skills in palpation and strengthen her other senses which grant her a powerful interpretation of the body and the manifestations of illness within her patients. In Japan, blind acupuncturists are often considered ‘Masters’ of acupuncture. And, at one point in time, acupuncture was a profession specifically held for the blind. Allison is the only vision impaired acupuncturist on the East Coast and one out of a very limited percentage of acupuncturists in the world to practice under this heightened scope of healing.
Allison has specialized acupuncture training through a lineage of blind acupuncturists in Japan, through several years of mentorship. This has allowed her to further develop her skills as an acupuncturist. Allison has a heightened perception of each individuals energy flow through the body and its meridians that grant her a unique and powerful perspective into a persons health. Allison complements her work of acupuncture with craniosacral therapy, Reiki healing, nutrition, and lifestyle modification to create a fully balanced approach to health. Allison is boundless in her ability to support her patients and assist them in fostering the results in life and health they desire. Allison is devoted to treating the root of all pathologies. Allison specializes in acupuncture for mental health, women’s health, fertility/infertility, digestion, pain/musculoskeletal conditions, and pediatrics.
During each acupuncture treatment Allison incorporates her knowledge of Eastern and Western nutrition, herbal formulas, craniosacral therapy, Reiki, nutrition, and lifestyle modification to prevent and treat disease. Allison utilizes Japanese acupuncture style to stimulate acupuncture points. This treatment style is safe and effective at treating a wide range of symptoms from digestive issues to menstrual cramps. It is important to Allison to provide each patient with the tools necessary for success and nurture each individual on their journey to a healthier life. With a step by step approach, Allison strives to determine the initial cause, current disease status and best possible treatment path to better her patient's lives. Russel is a resident of Beverly and has had the opportunity to provide educational experiences on cardiovascular health, sport performance, nutrition, exercise and metabolic testing, and pulmonary function testing. For over 5 years, Russel had worked closely with professional sports teams within the NFL and NHL, prestigious hospitals and academic universities, and military research institutes across the globe.
Russel’s background in exercise physiology has granted him the knowledge in exercise and nutrition to successfully allow him to assist and provide both clinical and applied advice. Russel complements Allison’s work of acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, Reiki, nutrition, and lifestyle modification by bringing his expertise of clinical and applied sciences within the scope of exercise and nutrition. At North Shore Acupuncture and Natural Medicine, Russel provides nutrition, exercise, and healthy living advice to help create a fully balanced approach toward a patient’s health.
